A Much-Needed Break to Make Much-Needed Changes

February ushers in a relative period of calm after the flurry of activity and energy of the previous months. While it might be tempting to simply sit back, relax, and let fate take you where it may, it’s actually the perfect time to work on yourself.

Almost everyone I know breathed a sigh of relief when 2020 was finally over. While the fact that it was 2021 didn’t magically change anything overnight (well, aside from the calendar), a lot of people felt that it was a much-needed new beginning and that better times were ahead.

The reason we feel crappy is always below the surface just out of our conscious understanding. This is why finding the root cause or core issue is so helpful. Healers understand this and that is why they ask so many questions and test us in so many different ways.

 As a society, we are undergoing a transition that has brought us to a second civil rights movement. Issues of race, class, and gender have been raked to the forefront and have probably permeated at least a few of your recent, daily interactions.

Letting go of the fear that stands somewhere between the barriers of suffering and healing is scary stuff. I came into this practice emotionally spent and quite fragile. The exercise of ritual brought to me a quiet, slow growing courage. I had always possessed a kind of grit and resilience.

Some of us relish the chilly winter months. Cozy hoodies, comfort foods, and dusky skies. The shimmering beauty of the first fresh fallen snow. Winter, for me, is much like my taste in music. The sadder the song, the more joy I seem to extract from it.

We have a select number of candles that we only pour once a year. We manufacture only a limited number of each type of these candles They are usually poured at specific times throughout the year . However each one of these candles can be used year round.
