I have been working with a trainer for about a year now and it has changed the way I deal with the challenges in life. When I started this new routine, the last thing I expected was reinforcement in my spiritual philosophies and a few new ones that I was lacking.

It’s about the money and it’s not about the money. Prosperity is more of an emotional state than a physical one. It’s a mental, emotional and magical shift that has physical results. I know this, because I did it and the world shifted around me to accommodate.

“If you were a really good witch/psychic/healer you would be rich by now.” Everyone who has heard that line raise your hand. Everyone who has thought that of themselves raise your other hand. Now that both of your hand are up, it’s a hold up and you’ have just been robbed – of a charmed life.

Is this another story of the American Dream come true? An idea, a small financial stake and lots of tenacity and you have the latest sensation? Yes and no. All of those factors are true, but what no one talks about is the other secret sauce that makes your business successful.

“We make our own happiness.”

“Happiness is created, not found.”

“Happiness comes from what we do.”

“Happiness is about enjoying the moment.”

I have shared all these meme’s on my social media. I have these posters in my office.

The minute you think that your house couldn’t use a cleansing is the exact moment it needs one. Energy that can sap your energy can creep up on you, a little at a time, until WHAMMO – you are in a calamity type of crisis.

Most likely, there is probably a witch next door. They may not be Goth, own a flowy pagan dress, or attend the local community ritual, yet they are witches. Gender doesn’t play into it, she may be a he. (S)he may not be pagan but the witch next door is powerful, centered and focused when needed.

When all else fails, go back to the basics and review where you may have gone awry. That has been my mantra since the first time I had to go back to square one and rebuild. Magic, identity, business, relationships, plans; it doesn’t matter the subject, I have crawled back to the original moment of passion and inspiration that started me on that particular path to rebuild what I broke.

I’m a little scared you guys. I am nervous about what is happening to my people. I am shocked at what people, who are normally loving and supportive, are saying. I am terrified at the media reporting on the seemingly vast amount of folks reverting to their fears and hate and calling it “telling it like it is.

We are all born to be our own worst enemy. We are masters at sabotaging ourselves from the inside out and the question is, why do we do it? Why do we get in our own way? Why does it seem like some people are brilliant and gifted at sailing through life’s tsunamis and we succumb to the doubt, the projection upon us by others and our own fears?

I was really offended by that phrase when I first heard it. I care, I care about a lot of people, things, and outcomes. Actually, I care too much... until I found the freedom in not caring. There is a point when you have to throw your hands in the air and not give a rat’s ass as to the outcome, the needs or the damn political climate to gain a bit of sanity.

This first time I had a well-earned hangover I was given the advice to drink water, eat carbs and fill up on protein. The only thing missing from that advice is take a nap about an hour after you wake up.

Did you get your pillows out into the middle of the floor, put on your meditation CD and yoga pants and light the candle? If you did, it sounds like a wonderful start to your meditation.
