Now, I will warn you, Venus does get hammered by Saturn and Uranus later in the month, but overall, it’s much easier. So, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
Welcome to Virgo Season…
In kabbalah, Virgo is the month of Elul, and it is the cosmic month of repentance (Teshuvah). Teshuvah is when we take time to acknowledge our negative actions throughout the year, understand the root cause of those negative actions, make amends when necessary, and try not to make the same mistakes in the future.
But why should we go through this arduous process?
Virgo is an earth sign concerned with the physical world, natural laws, and how the real world works. Therefore, Virgo is naturally associated with jobs, tasks, responsibilities, and rituals.
In the ancient world, Virgo was associated with servants. Although we are not servants in a technical sense, we should take care of ourselves, manage our lives, and be productive members of society. So, while we are in Virgo season, it is necessary for us to look at the areas of our lives that need management, what needs to be repaired, and what needs to be nurtured. Making our lives more efficient helps us access the positive dimensions of the sign, and in doing so, we make amends to the person that needs it the most – ourselves!

1. Practical Magic:One of our biggest problems is our ability to complicate things. In our quest for the biggest, baddest, super-duper, mother-of-all spells, we can put so many ingredients in the pot that we ruin the stew. On September 27, 2021, Mercury will turn retrograde in relationship-oriented Libra. Communication issues, especially in relationships, will be plenty. Avoid making major decisions, check and recheck travel plans, and backup electronic devices. Mercury goes into “shadow mode” on September the 7th and will remain retrograde until October 18, 2021.

On Thursday, Mars opposes Neptune in Pisces. Energy levels will plummet leaving you feeling disoriented and unmotivated. Avoid becoming overly frustrated by life’s circumstances because it may lead to distrusting others.
Over the weekend, Mercury forms a lovely trine to Saturn. It’s an excellent time to complete projects or tasks that require mental discipline and focus. However, beware on Sunday because Venus squares Pluto. Intense emotions could lead to relationship issues, especially if you try to hold onto a relationship too tightly. The bulk of the energy occurs at the beginning of the week with a New Moon in Virgo and three planetary aspects – Mars trine Pluto, Venus trine Jupiter, and the Sun trine Uranus. All of these aspects are positive, which is a great relief after the intense energies of July and August. Anything you put effort into will be successful as long as you do not get out of control or unfocused. Take some time to explore new opportunities and be original.
Towards the middle of the week, the Moon moves through relationship-oriented Libra. It’s a great week to collaborate on projects and work towards improving your connection with others. Also, if you want to start a new relationship, now is the time to explore your options.
On Friday, and over the weekend, Venus switches signs and moves into Scorpio. Venus in Scorpio provides us with an opportunity to shed our superficial skin and connect on a deeper level in relationships. Intimacy with others will be important.

September 13, 2021 – September 19, 2021
The cosmic energy this week begins on Tuesday as the Sun opposes Neptune. This is a low-energy sort of day, and you may feel confused and uncertain about the future. Try to stay out of victim mindsets because they will only lead to feelings of doubt about your world and the major players in it. Later on Tuesday, Mars moves into Libra, and he provides a small energy boost that can help break Neptune’s spell. Focusing on your feelings and connecting to your inner being may relieve some of the anxiety of Sun oppose Neptune.
Later in the week, the Sun trines Pluto on Thursday. Sun trine Pluto gives us the needed energy to discover what we want out of our lives and is easier energy than the Sun’s opposition to Neptune. Since Pluto likes to transform any planet he aspects, he helps us make the changes necessary so that our lives feel more fulfilled and have meaning. However, it’s best to make major decisions that have an impact on your life rather than ones that supply only temporary happiness.
Finally, this weekend, Venus squares frustrating Saturn. You may need to take a deep look at your relationships and whether or not your personal needs are being met in them. You may find it difficult to relate to others and this could make you feel insecure. It’s best to face relationship issues head-on and work towards a positive resolution than allowing them to fester and become toxic.

This week is a mixed bag of tricks, cosmically speaking. We start off with a Full Moon in Pisces (see above) and a beautiful aspect (a trine) between Mercury and Jupiter. If you need to sign contracts or secure a deal, take advantage of this opportunity before Mercury turns retrograde next week. Otherwise, you will spend the first part of the week focused on the future and your mood should be rather optimistic.
Despite the lighthearted energy at the beginning of the week, Wednesday and Thursday will bring a double dose of trouble as Mercury squares Pluto and Venus opposes Uranus. Be careful when interacting with others on Wednesday because Mercury square Pluto can spawn arguments if you are feeling frustrated with the people around you. The best way to work with this energy is to look within at what you can change about yourself rather than attempting to force your will upon others. On Thursday, Venus opposes Uranus in Taurus. Unresolved tensions in relationships could lead to sudden upsets and disappointments. Avoid starting new relationships at this time.
The ray of sunshine midweek may be quite literal as the Sun moves out of Virgo and into Libra. Although tensions may be high, the Sun in Libra may be balanced enough that people respond to energies proactively rather than reactively.
This weekend, it’s time to get the job done as energetic Mars trines Saturn. You will easily be able to take care of duties and obligations under this influence. Focus on activities that need immediate attention.

Taking care of responsibilities should be relatively easy but keep your eye on communications with others because Mercury can befuddle the best of agreements.
This weekend, problems or difficulties with others may resurface as Mercury once again squares power-hungry Pluto. In this case, arguments and debates will accomplish little, so it’s best to walk away.

This month, the sea-goat takes over as we enter Capricorn season. After the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, settling into a routine and hard work can be a downer or a welcome relief, depending on your take on life. January is the beginning of a new year and perhaps a new you if you are willing to do the work.
The year 2020 was packed full of collective events that will become permanent backdrops to our tapestry of history. We opened the year with potent Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn and ushered in a new deadly virus that began infecting the citizens of Wuhan.
Are you afraid of the dark? If so, turn on your nightlight because once again we are in Scorpio season, which governs everything that goes bump in the night and our focus is going to be on sex, death, and regeneration.
The Season of Libra is the season of relationships and the scales govern all relationships, even relationships with our enemies. The undercurrent of Libra brings to mind a Greek tale called ‘The Judgment of Paris’. A young shepherd boy named Paris was randomly chosen by Zeus to judge who was the most beautiful Olympian Goddess.
The 2020 roller coaster comes back with its third act (there are four if you are counting), and the month of September not only features Virgo Season but one of the most difficult energies of the year. So, if you thought that 2020 has been a rocky ride, there is more to come.
