The countdown to Halloween is on. My family is marking off the days on the calendar.Our house has been decorated with black cats, spiders, lots of candles and other frightening ghoulish terror! Costumes are being designed. The hunt for just the right props continues until the last minute.

The Countdown to Halloween is on
Of course, we couldn't forget the trip the orchards to get plenty of apples, cider and our very own Great Pumpkin. My hope is these are the memories we will cherish as a family as the years go by.
When I look back on my own childhood, I can recall my favorite costumes. I once, was Tinker Bell, a gypsy and a green goblin. The green goblin was actually called Kooky Spooks, I had great fun in particular that Halloween because, I was able spend it with my Poppa and my Step Mom, Pam.She always had a way of manifesting meaningful creative fun from seemingly very little means.That year I remember collecting a boat load of candy!
